Bishop Kelly ran away with the girls competition, shooting a sizzling 124 to best second place Emmett (163) by 39 strokes. Skyview was next with 166, Columbia came in with a 179, three shots better than Mountain Home's 182, Kuna shot a 189, and Nampa came in at 191.
Alicen Wendal led Mountain Home with a 38, which tied her for eighth overall, 11 shots behind Maddie Sheils of Bishop Kelly, who took medalist honors. Shayla Streeter came in with a 39, Hannah Zamora shot a 52, and Shelby Stevens carded a 53.
Skyview led the boys with a 155 total. Middleton and Kuna tied for second with 168 totals, Emmett came in with a 172, Bishop Kelly, 174, Mountain Home, 177, Columbia, 186, and Nampa had a 188.
JT Anderson of Skyview won medalist honors with a 35. Brad Yagues led Mountain Home with a 42, which tied him for 12th. Stephen Elliot, Michael Heinen and Travis Goldsby all shot a 45.
The State qualifying District III 4A girls and boys golf tournament was yesterday at Centennial Golf Course in Nampa. The State 4A Golf Tournament will be May 12-13 in Jerome.
