Total lunar eclipse occurs tonight

Wednesday, February 20, 2008

A total lunar eclipse will occur tonight, Feb. 20.

The entire eclipse will take just over three hours, beginning at 6:43 p.m. and ending at 10:09 p.m.

The best time for viewing the total eclipse (weather permitting) is between 8:26 and 8:51 p.m. when the moon is expected to appear copper-red.
