Angeles Ramasco

Angeles Ramasco, 96, of Mountain Home, died Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2008, at a local hospital.

All services were held at Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel in Mountain Home. A viewing and rosary was held on Friday, Feb. 15. Funeral services were held on Saturday, Feb. 16, and burial followed at Mountain View Cemetery in Mountain Home.

Angeles was born Angeles Juana Alexandra Sillonis on March 6, 1911, in Mountain Home, the daughter of Nicolas and Maria Angela Gaviola Sillonis. She was raised and educated in Mountain Home and was "a proud member of the Basque community," her family noted.

Angeles married the "love of her life," Bruno Ramasco, on July 20, 1934, and remained happily married for 67 years until his passing in 2001.

After marrying Bruno the couple moved to Paradise Valley in Winnemucca, Nev., to work the local Basque sheep ranches.

During World War II, they moved to San Diego, Calif., and worked for General Dynamics Aircraft Company.

After retiring they returned to Mountain Home in 1965 where they lived out the remainder of their lives.

Angeles is survived by: one sister, Adele, and her husband, Dean Bowles, of Oregon, and numerous nephews and nieces, and many great-nephews and great-nieces.

She was preceded in death by three sisters, one brother and her husband, Bruno.
