Daniel R. Hohenhorst, 67, of Mountain Home, died at his home on Thursday, Jan. 31, 2008.
At his request, no services are planned. Cremation is under the direction of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel.
Daniel was born on Oct. 13, 1940, in Clinton, Iowa, to Reinhold and Virginia Hohanhorst. He graduated from Clinton High School in 1959.
Daniel worked as a systems analyst for the State of Idaho and as a consultant for the Idaho Fish and Game Department.
He loved to hunt, fish, camp and trap.
Daniel is survived by: his mother, Virginia Hohenhorst of Lincoln, Neb.; his long-time companion, Charlotte "Faye" Johnson of Mountain Home;her four children, Lesa Mittelsteadt of Boise, Anthony Johnson of Tennessee, Kevin Johnson of Georgia and Shonda Moran of California; seven grandchildren; one great-grandson; his two brothers, Steven and his wife, Sandra, of Nampa, and Larry and his wife, Dara, of Columbia, Ill.; his sister, Patricia, and her husband, Ron Stolley, of Lincoln, Neb., and four nieces.
He was preceded in death by his father, Reinhold.
