Bush quick fix spends money we don't have

Wednesday, February 6, 2008

Dear editor:

I received the paper today I read your editorial with interest. You seem happy about the Bush quick fix to send checks to people.

Our country is in debt, how can our government write checks? If I wrote a check with no money in the bank the person would not get any money and the bank would charge me a lot more money and make me worse off than I was.

We need a good president, hope it is Mitt Romney that has gotten business on solid ground. We need a good Congress to help him. Until then government should write no more checks except what they already owe, like social security and military needs.

I do not understand why people think the government has endless money to give out.
