Wednesday, November 28, 2007

The Mountain Home Lady Tiger junior varsity girls basketball team dropped their conference opener at Bishop Kelly last Tuesday, 35-26.

The middle quarters did the Lady Tigers in, as they were outscored 18-3 during those two quarters, while outscoring Bishop Kelly, 23-17 in the first and fourth quarters.

"The first and fourth quarters we played well, but not the middle two quarters," said Lady Tiger JV coach Jeremy Sayer. "Our free throw shooting hurt us -- we only made five of the 15 we shot."

Brenda Hawkins led Mountain Home in scoring with eight points, Charde` Huntington added six, Breann Christiansen had five, Blas Lord added three, Ashley Christiansen, two, and Jasmyn Jewett and Bre Sugden each added one point.

The Lady Tigers hosted Wood River's JV on Monday night, travel to Nampa in conference play tonight, and host Jerome Saturday afternoon at 12:30 p.m.
