Cook wins 4-H Family of the Year at annual awards banquet

The "Friends of 4-H" award was presented to D & B Supply and the "4-H Family of the Year" was presented to the Jeff Cook Family during the recent Annual 4-H Awards Ceremony.

A warm welcome by Elmore County Extension Educator, Mir Seyedbagheri, and pledges led by 4-H Cloverbud members opened the evening. Mistresses of Ceremonies were Justine Clark, Kammie Boyles, Tiffany Smith, Amanda Young, and Justine Turner.

Over 350 awards were presented to members and leaders.

Special awards were presented to:

* Tractor Driving Contest Trophies-Jessica Cook, Isaac, Austin Seagrist, Dei'Ja Martin.

* 5-Year Horse Member Belt Buckle -- Kyle Ortega.

* 10-Year Horse Member Belt Buckle -- Essanie Prow.

* Working Ranch Horse Grand Belt Buckle -- Quirt Boyles, Reserve Belt Buckle-Kammie Boyles.

* The Idaho Angus Auxillary Outstanding Angus Market Beef project halter -- Morgan Acord.

* The Idaho Angus Auxillary Outstanding Angus Breeding Beef project belt buckle- Kelsie Hopkins.

* The Idaho Cattleman's Association Superior Beef Belt Buckle -- Justine Clark.
