Soph girls score win over Vallivue

The Mountain Home Lady Tigers sophomore girls basketball team held off the Vallivue sophomores 29-28 last Tuesday night at Vallivue.

The first quarter ended in an 8-8 tie, but Mountain Home grabbed the lead in the second period and were up, 15-14 at the half. The Lady Tigers were up 27-24 heading into the fourth, and only scored four points in the final quarter, but held Vallivue to six, to win 29-28.

Alex Schmidt paced the Lady Tigers with 12 points. Amanda Osborn, Rachel Warilla and Lindsey Sessions each scored four points, Fatima Guillen added three, and Brittany Wagner scored two.

The win improved the Lady Tigers sophomores to 2-0 on the season. They opened their conference schedule last night at Bishop Kelly, and travel to Nampa on Nov. 28 for a conference game against the Lady Bulldog sophomores.
