JV girls fall to Timberline

Wednesday, November 14, 2007

The Mountain Home Lady Tiger junior varsity girls basketball team fell to Timberline, 42-33, last Friday night in Lloyd Schiller Gymnasium.

The visiting Lady Wolves had three girls over 6' 0", and Mountain Home could not get many shots to drop for them all night, and trailed, 13-4, after a quarter. It was 26-17, Timberline, at the half, and 35-24, Timberline after three.

Lady Tiger JV coach Jeremy Sayer thought his girls played well, they just could not get the shots to drop for them.

"They had some big-sized girls and what we did was kind of freak out a little bit. Our shots just weren't going in. We needed to focus and settle down a little bit. We played hard and made a run at it, but it was just a little too late, and if the shots would have fallen for us, that would have helped us out quite a bit."

Blas Lord hit for 16 points to led Mountain Home. Breann Christiansen scored five points, Bre Sugden added four, Jasmyn Jewett, Annika Moody, Brenda Hawkins, and Charde` Huntington each added two points.
