Rist has integrity, work ethic

Dear editor:

I have known Tom Rist for about 50 years. He and his lovely wife, Shirley, both graduated from Mountain Home High School and have lived here all their lives.

Tom has worked in the private sector all his life and has learned the value of a dollar and why it is important to have a government that is careful with the use of public money. He has illustrated constance and loyalty in his employment.

Tom has learned from his years of public service that he alone does not have all the best answers and therefore the importance of gleaning from those around him and working with them. In Tom's life, he has shown loyalty to family, friends and community. With his integrity and work ethic, I believe he will be a great mayor for our city.
