Justin Jarvis leads MHHS Rodeo Club entrants

The Mountain Home High School Rodeo Club traveled to Emmett Sept. 22-23 for its first and second rodeos of the 2007-2008 school year.

The members of the club this year include seniors Nico Hardman, Randi Ireland, Justin Jarvis, and Cynthia Scholte; juniors Daniel Bideganeta, Sarah Cantrell, Billy Graham, and Corey Hurley, sophomore Zane Palmer; and freshman Emily Bideganeta and Zach Law.

They participated in a wide variety of events, including goat tying, breakaway roping, barrel racing, and pole bending to team roping, bull riding, steer wrestling, tie-down roping and saddle-bronc riding.

On Saturday, Justin Jarvis took second in the tie-down roping, third in steer wrestling, and third in team roping with his partner.

Randi Ireland and her partner took fifth in team roping.

On Sunday Jarvis took first in saddle-bronc and Nico Hardman took third in bull riding.

The next rodeo will take them to New Plymouth on April 5-6, 2008.
