Coach Rob Daniels' U14 Boys soccer team hit the road in the dark Saturday for an 8 a.m. face off in Kuna.

"The early morning game seemed to suit the team just fine," said Coach Daniels, as it brought home a 6-1 victory.

Brent Sexauer put away a penalty kick for one of his two goals on the day. Tyler Brennan also found the back of the net twice, with Mike Daniels and Gustavo Martinez each providing one point. Goalie Tomas Guillen made several saves in the first half, while Mike Daniels cleaned up as sweeper in the second half.

The Glenn's Ferry U11 Girls experienced their first victory, defeating the McCall Avalanche 6-1. Scoring for the Co-Pilots were Raegan Grigg and Anna Orr with two goals apiece, and Jaycie Shrum and Kylee Carpenter finding the back of the net for one point each. Team Manager Nancy Off noted that "everybody played a part in the victory. Our goalies Roni Crone and Melissa Garza played strong and our defenders Lupita and Cassie Viflavicencio and Sky Gennette never let up -- it was a great team effort."

The U12 Boys traveled to Nampa and went down to defeat to the Kickers, 8-1, with Austin Lee scoring the only tally for United. "Kaleb Stevens did a great job the first half as goalie," Coach Curtis Viall said. "Brandon Bodily and Mark Chilson provided good pressure on the offensive side. Defensively, Gavin Guillen is really coming along and played very well."

Andriana Garcia placed a strong penalty kick shot over the goalies' head to close out the first half of the U14 Girls match, but it was not enough as the Tigers fell 2-1 to Vallivue at Eastside Park. Coach Humberto Garcia said that "the girls were not on their game today -- our running and passing did not have the hustle we needed."

Coach Mike Hedrick's U13 Boys long trek to McCall resulted in another Mountain Home Youth Soccer victory, as his team shut out the Avalanche 9-0.

Scoring for the Tigers were Mady Vines, Ricardo Araujo, Brenden O'Neill and Tyler Senger, with one goal each.

Jacob Hedrick with two goals and Austin Lucas with a three-goal hat trick on the day.

Assists on goals were provided by Chance Llewellyn and Sergio Eulalio.

The shutout was maintained by goalies Jack Richelieu and Jacob Hedrick.
