Judith June Evans-Hindman, 69, of Flagstaff, Ariz., formerly of Mountain Home, died Sept. 3, 2007, in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.

Friends and family gathered to remember her life at Christ Church of Flagstaff, Ariz., on Sept. 18.

Judy was born in Boise on June 2, 1938. She was raised in Mountain Home and attended Mountain Home High School. She then went on to graduate from The University Of Idaho.

She moved to San Francisco where she met the love of her life, John Hindman, and married him on Aug., 13, 1966, in Carmel, Calif. They moved to Oakland, Calif., where she taught at Woodstock Elementary in Alameda.

Judy was best known for her devotional love to God, her family said, her special bond with her grandchildren and her knack for cooking.

She is survived by: her husband, John Hindman; sons Craig, Scott and Kirk Hindman; her three sisters, Mary Freer, Sandra Kaskey and Ann Clark; her brother, Bill Evans; three grandchildren; daughters-in-law Faith and Rena Hindman; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Wally and Helen Evans.

Her wish was that all donations be made to women's shelters or women's ministry.
