Rollover crash near Atlanta kills local man

A one-vehicle rollover crash near Atlanta resulted in the death of a Mountain Home man Saturday.

Idaho State Police and Elmore County Sheriffs Deputies responded to an accident eastbound on US 20 at milepost 123.5 on Saturday, Sept. 15, at 4:11 p.m., where they found a 1994 GMC pickup driven by Stephen Quimby, 55, of Mountain Home, had left the roadway and rolled at least one time.

Quimby was ejected and died at the scene.

Seatbelts were not used, and alcohol may be a factor, authorities said. The crash is still under investigation by Senior Trooper J. Bailey.
