Optimist football teams struggle as season opens

It was a rough week for Mountain Home teams as the Optimist Football season got underway Saturday.

In the Senior Division (12 year-olds), Master Electric lost to The Outback, 48-0.

In the Junior Division (11 year-olds), Mountain Home Physical Therapy lost to Paulson-Jacobs, 12-0.

In the Sophomore Division (10 year-olds), Johnson Brothers Hospitality lost a close game to Metro Direct, 24-22.

In the Freshman Division (nine year-olds), C-2 Construction lost to Wood River, 6-0, and TCBY-Moxie Java lost to Little Broncos 14-0.

In Flag Football (7-8 year-olds), Elmore Medical Center played Meridian Gold, Mountain Home Auto Ranch played Broadbent Law of Nampa, and Thrifty Car Sales played the Kiwanis.

No scores are kept in Flag Football.
