Magistrate's Court

Leroy W. Backham, Jr., 32, was charged with driving under the influence (excessive).

Backham was found guilty, ordered to serve 180 days in jail (165 days suspended), placed on 18 months probation, had his drivers license suspended for 1 year, placed in a treatment program, and fined $2,000 ($1,000 suspended) plus $1,186.50 in court costs.

Backham was also charged with a probation violation, with this he was found guilty, ordered to serve 30 days in jail, placed on 1 year probation and fined $300.

During trial, Backham was charged with contempt of court. Backham was found guilty, ordered to serve 5 days in jail (5 days credited), fined $100 plus $72.50 in court costs.

Justin Sky James, 33, had a charge of battery-domestic violence amended to disturbing the peace. James was found guilty, ordered to serve 90 days in jail (85 days suspended, 2 days credited), placed on 1 year probation, fined $500 ($250 suspended) plus $242.50 in court costs.

James was found guilty on a probation violation. James was sentenced to 51 days in jail (51 days credited), and fined $75 in court costs.

James was charged with domestic violence (violation of protection order). James was found guilty, ordered to serve 365 days in jail (314 days, 51 credited), placed on 2 years probation and fined $1,000 ($1,000 suspended) plus $157.50 in court costs.

Christopher O' Brien, 25, was charged with malicious injury to property. O' Brien was found guilty, placed to 1 year probation, fined $500 ($350 suspended), $151.50 in court costs, and $224 in restitution.

O'Brien was charged with contempt of court, this was dismissed by the prosecutor, but ordered to pay $224 in restitution.

Darren M. Nakaishi, 37, had a charge of driving without privileges amended to failure to purchase and holding an invalid drivers license. Nakaishi was found guilty and fined $150 plus $72.50 in court costs.

Nakaishi was charged with contempt of court. Nakaishi was found guilty, ordered to serve 4 days in jail (2 days suspended, 2 days credited) and fined $100.

John C. Calhoun, 23, had charges of disturbing the peace and battery dismissed by the prosecutor.

Marty Carl Sauerland, 24, was charged with driving without privileges. Sauerland was found guilty, ordered to serve 2 days in jail, had his drivers license suspended for 180 days, fined $250 plus $121.50 in court costs. Sauerland was found guilty for contempt of court and fined $100.

Blake A. Pharis, 18, had a charge of possession, distribution and use of tobacco as a minor, amended to minor possession of Marijuana/paraphernalia, use, influence. This charge was dismissed by the prosecutor.

Pharis had a charge of possession of a controlled substance amended to the possession, distribution and use of tobacco as a minor. Pharis was found guilty and fined $75 plus $72.50 in court costs.

Trevor D. Waters, 17, was found guilty to a charge of driving under the influence (under age 21), this charge was amended to the possession, consumption and purchase of an alcoholic beverage as a minor.

Waters was found guilty to the charge of failure to give immediate notice at an accident.

Scott M. Hendrix, 46, had a charge of driving without privileges dismissed by the prosecutor.

Cole D. Ross, had a charge of driving without privileges dismissed by the prosecutor.

Matthew William Hanson, 44, had a charge of reckless driving amended to inattentive/careless driving. Hanson was found guilty, ordered to serve 30 days (30 days credited) and pay $72.50 in court costs.

Craig AK Anderson, 19, had a charge of inattentive/careless driving dismissed by the prosecutor.

Jenipher C. Petersen, 19, had a charge of driving without privileges dismissed by the prosecutor.

Wayne L. Myers, 74, was charged with placing with debris on public/private property. Myers was found guilty and fined $100 plus $75.50 in court costs.

Michael J. Zalin 47, had a charge of driving without privileges amended to failure to purchase and holding an invalid drivers license. Zalin was found guilty, ordered to serve 3 days in jail, issued a work release, and fined $150 plus $75.50 in court costs.

Megan R. Barnes, 16, was charged with the possession, distribution and the use of tobacco as a minor. Barnes was found guilty and fined $72.50.

Megan A E Hornung, 22, was charged with reckless driving. Hornung was found guilty, sentenced to 10 days in jail (10 days suspended), placed on 1 year probation and fined $1,000 ($750 suspended) plus $75.50 in court costs.

Justin C Nielson, 19, was found guilty for a charge of the purchase, consumption and possession of an alcoholic beverage as a minor.
