Boise woman killed in early morning accident near Glenns Ferry

A woman was killed in an early morning crash that occurred on Interstate 84 near milepost 129, east of Glenns Ferry near King Hill.

The Idaho State Police report that Pamela E. Sterkenburg, 45 of Boise, was traveling westbound in a 1988 Toyota pickup at about 6 a.m. when she apparently drifted into the center median, overcorrected and lost control of the vehicle. The action caused the truck to rollover on the right shoulder, ejecting her from the vehicle.

Sterkenburg died at the scene from injuries sustained in the crash. She was not wearing a seat belt and alcohol was not believed to be a factor in the accident.

The crash is still under investigation by Trooper Ivey with assistance at the scene from Trooper Szeles and Sergeant Stauffer.
