2007 Tour of New Homes set

Wednesday, July 4, 2007

Like many of its bigger neighbors in the Treasure Valley and Magic Valley areas, the Mountain Home housing market is currently enjoying strong growth for local builders and attracting investment from Boise builders as evidenced by the first ever Tour of New Homes event scheduled here for the weekend of July 13-15.

The tour, with Wells Fargo Home Mortgage as the founding sponsor, will feature a variety of new homes in the local area and give the public an opportunity to visit with builders as they view popular trends in new home construction design.

"We're excited that we can bring this to the Mountain Home community," said Kim Heinen, mortgage consultant with Wells Fargo, "It has been a really popular event in other cities and we hope the local community finds it a valuable resource as they pursue the purchase of a new home."

A magazine and map of the featured homes will be available from a tent set up by Wells Fargo in the Paul's Market parking lot downtown.

"The best part about our event is that it is completely 'free'! Most home events like this in other cities will charge a nominal fee to participate in the tour." Heinen remarked.

The event will be open to the public on Friday, July 13 from 11 a.m.- 7 p.m., Saturday, July 14 from 11 a.m. - 5 p.m., and Sunday, July 15 from 12 p.m. - 4 p.m.

There will be food and drinks available all three days at the tent location at Paul's, provided by the MHHS football team as a fundraiser.
