Rose Marie Ogborn, 89

Rose Marie Ogborn, 89, of Mountain Home, died Wednesday, April 11, 2007, at a local care center.

Inurnment will be held in New Mexico at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel.

Rose Marie was born on March 30, 1918, in Pueblo, Colo., to Marion and Rose Ann West. She was schooled in the Pueblo area, she graduated from high school in Denver after her family relocated.

Rose Marie married Maurice Ogborn on April 19, 1944, and together they travel the world with his military career. They settled in Alamogordo, N.M., from 1968-2004.

Rose Marie was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Alamogordo.

After her husband died, Rose Marie moved to Mountain Home in 2004 to live near her daughter, Mary Ann.

Rose Marie enjoyed gardening, crafts and cooking.

Rose Marie is survived by: her daughters, Mary Ann, and her husband, Richard Murkle of Mountain Home, and Susanne and her husband, H. Kalani Aki, of Hawaii; her sons Chester and his wife, Susan Ogborn, of California, and David and his wife, Pam Ogborn, of New Mexico; her sister, Elizabeth West, of Pennsylvania; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice Ogborn, five brothers and one sister.
