Boys soccer beats Columbia

The Mountain Home Tigers were involved in a couple one-run boys soccer games last week, winning one and losing one.

The Mountain Home Tigers won their second straight soccer match when they downed the Columbia Wildcats, 2-1, on Sept. 11 at Columbia High School in Nampa.

Christian Adamson and Kyle Hall scored goals for Mountain Home, and Reza Mesmarian and Zach Waters had assists. Josh Waters had nine saves on goal.

The Tigers saw their win streak snapped at two, after dropping a hard-fought 1-0 soccer match to the Bishop Kelly Knights at Bishop Kelly on Thursday.

Josh Lindsay had eight saves on goal for the Tigers, who dropped to 2-5-1 on the season, and 1-5-1 in conference play.

The Tigers have a busy week of soccer this week. They hosted Middleton on Monday, play a make-up game with Emmett this (Wednesday) afternoon at 5 p.m. travel to Kuna tomorrow (Thursday), and are home against Jerome Saturday at 3 p.m.
