Girls soccer downs Jerome

The Mountain Home Lady Tigers returned to the win column Friday, downing the Lady Tigers from Jerome, 7-1, at home.

Earlier in the week, they lost a close conference game at Skyview, and had their game with Emmett postponed because of the air quality alert.

The Lady Tigers found the going tough at Skyview last Tuesday, coming up on the short end of a 2-1 match.

Mountain Home's lone goal was actually scored by Skyview. Savannah Lopez had a great game as goalie, picking up 18 saves.

Mountain Home came out strong Friday in their 7-1 non-conference win at home against Jerome.

Annie Bledsoe scored two goals for Mountain Home. Jessica Egusquiza, Chanda Lindsey, Angelina Garcia, Shianna Hawley and Anastasia Sansone also scored goals.

Francesca Hale had two assists, Caroline Lytle, Emily Moranda and Shalamar Enriquez also had assists.

Char Kaufman had five saves as goalie, Emily Moranda and Jessica Egusquiza both had two saves.

The Jerome win evened the Lady Tigers at 3-3 on the season.

They hosted Columbia on Monday, and are home against Bishop Kelly on Thursday.
