Boys soccer shut out twice

Wednesday, September 6, 2006

The Mountain Home Tigers played two tough games in boys soccer last week, coming up short against Kuna and Nampa.

Kuna Kavemen  2

Mountain Home 0

Another slow start by Mountain Home spotted the Kuna Kavemen two goals in the first half.  The Tigers  dominated in the second half, but could not score.

For the game, Mountain Home had 13 shots on goal.

Josh Lindsay had six saves.

"We started really slow again," said Tiger soccer coach Paul Walsh after the game.  "We've got to find a fix for that.  We came back out in the second half and really dominated, we just couldn't find the back of the net."

Nampa  1

Tigers   0

The Tigers battled Nampa tough, but once again failed to land a ball in the net for a score, losing, 1-0, to the Bulldogs at home last Thursday.  Josh Lindsay had nine saves on goal for the Tigers, who dropped to 0-3-1 on the season.

The Tigers have a busy week this week.  They hosted Skyview yesterday (Tuesday), Emmett, tomorrow (Thursday), and travel to Jerome in non-conference soccer on Friday.
