Egusquizas to celebrate 50th

Claude and Bev Egusquiza of Nampa, formerly of Glenns Ferry, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Sept. 15, with an open house two days later being organized by their children and grandchildren.

A reception to honor the anniversary will be held Sept. 17 from 2-5 p.m. at The Greens at Ridgecrest, 6745 E. Greens Dr., Nampa, located north of Ridgecrest Golf Course off of Birch Lane.

The couple request no gifts.

The Egusquizas have four children: Desiree (Gene) Hess of Nampa, Diann (Jeff) Huter of Caldwell, Mitch (Brenda) Egusquiza of Mountain Home, and Valerie (Gerry) Favillo of Meridian, as well as six granddaughters, five grandsons and one great-grandson.

Claude Egusquiza and Beverly Pachner were married at St. Limerick Catholic Church in Glenns Ferry, on Sept. 15, 1956. They resided in Glenns Ferry until June of 1973 when they were transferred with the Union Pacific Railroad to Nampa. Claude worked for the UPRR for over 43 years. Bev was a stay-at-home mom.

They have been enjoying their retirement traveling, spending time with their grandchildren and trying to keep track of tee times.

They attend Lady of the Valley Catholic Church in Caldwell.
