Golf teams finish last

The Mountain Home girls continues to show improvement, shaving 10 strokes off their team score at Ridgecrest last week.

Bishop Kelly, with Katie Skinner shooting a 38 for medalist honors, and three of their foursome shooting under 40, ran away with the tournament, shooting a 156. Caldwell was second with 174, a shot ahead of Vallivue. Skyview was again a distance fourth, shooting a 215, and Mountain Home came in fifth with 241.

Shayla Streeter led Mountain Home, shooting a 56, which tied her for 17th. Carlotta Vaughn and Kimi Kamaishi both carded a 59, and Princess Young came in with a 67.

The Tiger boys golfed at the Canyon County Invitational at River Bend Golf Course last Friday and came in last out of 11 teams.

Vallivue, with Clay Christensen taking medalist honors with a 71, won the invitational, shooting a 300 total. Emmett was second at 323, followed by Meridian, 327, Caldwell, 332, Vallivue's J.V., 340, Weiser, 344, Skyview, 354, Middleton and Nampa, 361, Homedale, 364. and Mountain Home, 368.

Ross Conte led the Mountain Home golfers, shooting an 87.

Steven Bitrick came in with a 91, Nick Trueba and Ryan Hammer both shot a 95, and Jake Ash carded a 98.
