Alice Dinwiddie, 88

Alice M. Dinwiddie, 88, of Klamath Falls, Ore., formerly of Mountain Home, died Feb. 17, 2006 at the Crystal Terrace Retirement Center in Klamath Falls.

Dinwiddie was born April 19, 1917, in Caldwell, Idaho, to Eric and Esther Carter.

She grew up in Idaho where she attended high school and business college.

She married Lloyd Dinwiddie in Nampa on Feb. 14, 1940.

The couple made their home initially in San Francisco before moving to Crescent City, Calif., where they owned and operated a motel and a market.

The moved to Mountain Home where they owned and operated a hamburger stand across from the high school.

They moved to Klamath Falls in 1999.

She enjoyed crocheting, knitting and sewing. She also collected antiques and had the two rocking chairs that came with her family to Idaho in a covered wagon as part of her collection.

Survivors include: her husband, Lloyd, of Klamath Falls; son and daughter-in-law Roger and Cindy Dinwiddie of Klamath Falls; two granddaughters and two step-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Stacy, in 1973, and a brother, Raymond Carter.
