Josephs celebrate 62nd anniversary

Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Joseph on their 62nd wedding anniversary.

Clarence and Annie Mae Joseph celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary on Valentine's Day.

Clarence is retired from the military but at the age of 81 (his birthday was Feb. 28) remains active in the local community as a member of the city's planning and zoning board, a board member of the Elmore Medical Center and the VA, and other community groups.

Annie, 85, is a retired elementary teacher who worked at the base schools. She also is active in the community and has been a leading member of the Mountain Home Community Black History Committee.

The couple have been residents of Mountain Home since 1962 (Clarence came here in 1959).

They have three children, Clarence Howard Joseph of Hanover, Md., Ralph of Mountain Home, and Lari Denise Joseph of Holland, Mich., and two grandchildren, Ericka Marie Joseph and Clarence William Joseph.
