Isabella Spinti, 81

Isabella "Izzy" Spinti, 81, of Mountain Home, died Sept. 14, 2005, at a Aarenbrooke Place, with her family by her side.

She was born Oct. 23, 1923, in Cambridge, Wisc., the daughter of John and Florence Cargen, and graduated from Cambridge High School in 1941.

She married Raymond "Pops" W. Spinti on July 12, 1946, in Cambridge, and they had four children.

After marrying the family moved to Mountain Home in 1958, where Izzy work for Guaranty Title and Northwest Savings and Loan, before she and the children followed Ray to Okinawa.

She started her Civil Service career in Okinawa and continued working for the Civil Service at Mountain Home Air Force Base after she returned, retiring in 1988.

In 1985, Izzy, Ray and her son, Jim, started Spinti's Archery on Airbase Road.

"She always enjoyed going to the shop where she loved helping and meeting people. Even after three operations over a two year period with her battle against cancer she continued to go to the shop to see the people she loved," her family said.

She is survived by: her husband, Ray; daughters Sharon Kirkendall of Mountain Home and Carol and her husband, Will Wall, of Mountain Home; a son, Jim Spinti and his special friend, Cindy Borchardt, of Mountain Home; a brother, John, and his wife, Darlene Cargen, of Wisconson; seven grandchildren; one great-grand child, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her son, Michael.

In leu of flowers, donations can be made to the Faith Lutheran School, 1190 N. 6th East St., Mountain Home, the Camp Wilson BBQ Committee, c/o Joni Vann, 4906 NE Rancho Way, Mountain Home, or a favorite charity of choice.

Services were under the direction of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel, Mountain Home.
