IMMUNIZATIONS

Idaho law requires that proof of immunization against certain childhood diseases be presented for children kindergarten through twelfth grade before attendance. Children who are not in compliance must be excluded from classes.

The Idaho Legislature recently approved new requirements for children entering Preschool and Kindergarten. Those students must have 5 doses of DTaP, 3 doses of Polio, 2 doses MMR,+ 3 doses of Hepatitis B, or to have a valid medical, religious or personal exemption form on file. An exemption is not valid if the parent has merely forgotten their child's immunization records.

Parents must bring a birth certificate and proof of immunization for new students entering kindergarten through twelfth grade.
