Some stars shine for Tiger track

Kacy Barrie, Troi White, Lauren Kisner and Lee Pierce all placed at the Outback Invitational Track & Field Meet at BSU last weekend.

Barrie finished third in the 300 meter hurdles and was fourth in the 100 meter high hurdles.

White finished third in the 100 meter high hurdles, and Kisner was seventh in the 300 meter hurdles.

Barrie also competed in the pole vault, but finished 11th.

Alyssa Saltzgaber was 13th in the triple jump.

In the boys competition, Lee Pierce placed sixth in the 2000 meter steeplechase.

Nick Barrie finished ninth in the triple jump and was 26th in the long jump. Brandon Sloan finished 11th in the 800 and 14th in the 1600 meter runs. Nathan Osbourn was 13th in the 400 meter dash, and Eric Smith was 14th in the pole vault.

The Outback Invitational featured some of the state's best for all over the state competing against each other.

The Tigers' home track meet last Wednesday was stopped about halfway through when a lightning storm hit the area. The track meet was stopped and the teams were sent home.

The Tigers go to Twin Falls on Friday for a track and field meet involving Kuna, Minico, Jerome and Twin Falls.
