Eula "Mae" Simons, 66, of Glenns Ferry, died Aug. 3, 2004, at a Boise care center.

Funeral services were held Aug. 6 at the First Baptist Church in Mountain Home. Burial followed at Glenn Rest Cemetery in Glenns Ferry. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Demaray Funeral Service of Gooding.

She married William C. Simons on Jan. 4, 1958. They worked together as husband and wife in various places across the United States until settling in Glenns Ferry with their family in 1978, where Mae was employed by Diamond Laundry until 2003.

"Mae embraced the community of Glenns Ferry and its many wonderful people," her family said. "All who knew her became friends and neighbors.

"Mae was strong in her faith and was a member of the First Baptist Church, where she was very active until her illness."

She is survived by: her sons, Scott (Christie) of Eagle, Mark (Connie) of Glenns Ferry, John of Battle Mountain, Nev., Matthew (Sandra) of Eagle; her sisters, Barbara Grever of Middleton, Donna (Joe) Brashears of Stanwood, Wash., and Kathy Saxton of Nampa; 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
