Evelyn Ann Jeffery , 50

Wednesday, November 19, 2003

Evelyn Ann Jeffery, 50, died Sunday, Nov. 9, 2003, after a long fight with medical issues.

Memorial services were held Friday, Nov. 14, at her daughter's home in Boise.

Evelyn was born on May 11, 1953, in Jersey City, N.J., to Reginald Kenneth and Louise Evelyn (Mansmann) Jeffery.

As a young mother, she moved her 3 children to Idaho in 1984, where she raised her children.

"Evelyn dearly loved her three children," her family said. "She was a strong woman with an extremely tough spirit, a heart of gold, and a loving soul.

"She was a very tough lady and that was apparent right off the gate to most everyone who met her. She was not one to reckon with; nothing or no one could take her down, including her illnesses," her family said.

"One of her biggest joys in life was to feed everybody. If you came to visit you could bet money that she would insist on waiting on you. She had very little in this world, but had an enormously giving heart. She would give you anything she had, and if she didn‚t have it and you needed it, she would try to find a way to get it."

Evelyn is survived by: her three children, Tina Reifer of Boise, Stacey Miskin (Richard) of Mountain Home, and Raymond Murphy (Jennifer) of Boise; 4 grandchildren; 4 brothers, Joseph of Boise, Reginald of North Carolina, James of Iowa, and Brian of Wyoming; 3 sisters, Regina of New Jersey, Mary of Iowa, and Gloria of Iowa; numerous nieces and nephews; and a life-mate, Phil Uriona.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Louise Evelyn Mansmann-Jeffery; her father, Reginald Kenneth Jeffery; and her sister, Patricia Morton.

Memorial contributions may be sent to the family, c/o Summers Funeral Home, 1205 W. Bannock Street, Boise, Idaho.
