Except for the 22nd, August worship will be held in historic Old St James Church at the corner of American Legion Blvd. and N. 3rd East Streets. Worship begins at 10 am with Holy Eucharist Rite Two celebrated by a visiting priest every Sunday. A certified child care attendant is on duty if parents choose to utilize the nursery. All people are welcome for communion.

In August the priests are The Rev. Robin Finch on the 1st; The Rev. Lothar Pietz on the 8th; The Rev. Robert Weldy, Ph. D. and a children's sermon on the 15th; The Rev. J. Michael Mahoney in the New Church on the 22nd; and the Rev. Robin Finch on the 29th.

Priests for September include the return of Father Weldy and his children's sermon on the 5th; The Rev. Jennifer Anttonen, fresh from the wilds of Canada, on the 12th; The Rev. Margaret Kurtz, conducting a healing service within the regular Holy Eucharist worship on the 19th; and Father Weldy, offering the children's sermon, on the 26th.

Beginning in September, worship returns to the larger facility in the parish hall building next door. Sunday School resumes in September, date to be announced.

Listed on the National Historic Register, Old St. James was the first house of worship in Elmore County. The current brick building was built in 1895 to replace a wooden structure which burned. The organ and beautiful antique windows were salvaged from the original church after the fire. It is fully heated and air conditioned.
