LOL. Very well put, Kelly. I remember those people well.

And be sure to keep up the good work. I envy both your passion and your dedication.

Talk about a trip down memory road..... I've lived here for over 40 years, and it's hard to believe I can truthfully say that. I remember those people... I first met Stu Olbrich when I was in High School working as an NA at the nursing home and he came to give services every day to the folks that lived there. He always took extra time to go 'round and talk and hold the hands of those gentle souls. He became an essential part of my life. In time he performed my marriage ceremony and then did a heartfelt graveside service for my first born daughter. I know with out a doubt that alot of what I am is due to him reaching out to me when I most needed him most and without waiting for me to ask.

Going to Scrubby's was one of the long ago memories of going with my Mom and Dad and seeing "what's gonna happen there tonight" and NEVER being disappointed.

I could on and on about memories of those days and the good people that made it the way it was ... but I digress...

There are sure some good people out there, but those that Kelly listed didn't do what they were supposed to, they did what was right and made a difference. They weren't always thinking 'Politically correct'. They did things that we all knew was right, and then they stod by what they felt. Alot of people have negative to say about this community and they don't hesitate to leave a 'downer' type comment. (this very issue has comments to demonstrate my point) Those are the people to be quick to lay blame but they are usually the LAST to raise their hand to volunteer or offer a suggestion to help (Think "Youth Center")

Yep, that list of folks what a good reminder of what was and what may be. You yourself have done a good job, Kelly, congratulations for such a mile marker! I wish there was more of that type of endurance and dedication.
