  • With the recent opening on the WECRD board maybe you should apply for it.

Research the definition of a COMMUNITY CENTER and show us where it is just for the children. Playing on that heart string is wrong on many accounts. Also all you had to do to know the petition was being turned in was follow the group of concerned citizens on Facebook. It is pretty easy. Suggest you read the letter that the resigning board member sent and is/was posted on the website. It was just as angry as the citizens that have paid taxes for 15 years and only saw results when the threat of dissolution was presented. Also wasn't it a former board member that an article was written about that verbally attacked a local business? I do agree that both sides are angry and wish all that would stop or at least slow down.

  • So much for Switzerland. Maybe your employees shouldn't be attacking people in their free time who do not share the position of the local newspaper and people would be more apt to respond. Yeah we are the issue!

  • When did it become the responsibility of property owners to finance care for the children of this community? "...something that provides them a safe, structured environment they and their families can afford" used to be called a home paid for by their parents.

  • Brian,

I highly suggest you do some research on the proposed plan and why it was suspended before commenting on what type of move it was. IT IS NOT FISCALLY RESPONSIBLE!

  • This is why he said what he said: Brian sent me a message that said: "Wendy, I learned that your group turned in its petition to the county courthouse on Tuesday. I would like to meet with you this week to discuss the effort and the desired outcome. Please call me at my office at 587-3331 and let me know when we can meet.

Brian S. Orban" and I said: "Due to the unethical standards of the one sided Tim Bondy and his attack on me at the last election night watch party in the court house hallway, I have No comment to give you as long as he is employed with your paper. The fact that he is still employed after that indicates to me that you approve of him and his actions. I can give out info on the Stop the Madness or Exploring the News FB pages and reach more folks than thru your paper and I can do my own editing, thank you very much...."
