  • Good luck getting it enforced in this state! I've heard every excuse under the sun as to why they can't enforce these laws.

  • You should live out in the county. We have all the noise that you hear, plus cows, horses and Donkeys.

So I take it you are against Mountain Home becoming Meridian east, because with increased population comes more diversity in music and people. All the people running for election assume all residents are for exponential growth. I for one am not. Growth is good for businesses however it cost residents money. We are already higher on taxes than other cities this size.

  • Wow that's some solution there joe, I don't think it is wrong for someone to ask that others be a little more considerate when they travel in neighborhoods where people are trying to enjoy some peace in their own yards. MsMarylin I actually love listening to horses, donkeys and cows. I have a neighbor who has chickens and goats and I sit in my back yard and enjoy the occasional cluck. :) I do however have issues with the person who owns/runs the grain silos by the old dog pound and the fact that they can run them all night long, their noise was measured and found to be like .5 below what they are allowed, but the owner/operator did comment that he really wants to make his neighbors happy but does not do anything about it. I call him a liar.

Good luck with this one. Rather than having everyone turn down their radio you would be better off lining the interior of your home with egg carton. The only reason any one will turn their radio down is if they are trying to find an address.
