Be patient and enjoy airshow
Two weeks ago the community said thanks to the Air Force, and this week, the Air Force is returning the favor with the Gunfighter Skies 2014 airshow on base.
Tens of thousands of people from throughout the region will visit the base to learn about the Air Force mission and to enjoy the Thunderbirds precision flying air show.
Historically, the base and local law enforcement have done a good job moving traffic too and from the base, even if sometimes it would back up all the way to the interstate.
Be prepared for some delays and be patient. Follow the driving directions given by authorities, or posted by them, and things should move fairly smoothly.,
We hope you have fun this weekend at the airshow. There's a lot to see and do at the family friendly event.
