  • hi PATRICK A........I don't think we will get to much accountability because the good ol boy system is intact. There is a complaint that dems only vote for dems .How about the fact that the GOP is in power and no matter what they do, Idaho keeps electing them wether it is in there best intrest or not.SOME TIME ONE SIDED THOUGHT IS NO THOUGHT AT ALL IT JUST REINFORCES WHAT WE WANT TO HEAR.THE GOP is not the only ones who know how to live, based on there actions it would appear that they feel they are the only ones who should

live freely.I am already enslaved enough to big busness and it.s desires.IS there not another way??

Not allowing other input to the legislative process has large implications and I would suggest that people pay attention to the process.

This bill is being touted as a way to restore a balance of power to the people of the rural districts of Idaho. In a nutshell, it says that no initiative would be placed on the ballot unless it garners signatures of 6% of the registered voters in a majority of legislative districts.

So it would pit urban folks against rural folks, right from the start.

Never mind that it still takes a majority of votes to pass, regardless of where the voters live.

It definitely seems to convey the message that ONLY the Legislature should create laws.

You can follow any legislation here:

  • THANKS why 67.........we all know that wont restore anything, people usually pay attention to thoe things that affect them. What doesn't doesn't get much attention.I am going to guess here, but I think the legislature is feeling intimdated by ada county and the surrounding area.

Change is comming and they cant stop it they ought to put there energy into how to work together for the good of both the rural communities and the up coming urban ones.THE only thing they are creating here is and us against them scenario that at the end helps know one.My thoughts only.

Last thought, both parties are guilty so I am not picking on anyone the GOP just happens to be in power without any fear of signicant challenge. There own constituents don't go along with everything they do, but no challenge they do as they please. Not a good thing in the long run.
