  • Kelly, I have agreed with you in the past about the need for more teachers and still agree with you today. However, I wonder if you could provide an example of a crumbling school building presently in use? Also, a starting salary of $31,000 a year is not bad. It's more than I made when I retired from the Air Force after 22 years and went to work in the private sector. In fact, I took an $18,000 a year cut in pay when I transitioned. Through work effort and diligence I soon overcame the deficiency in pay as my superiors became aware of the value I brought to the job.

  • GetRealNow,

When I attended MHHS, the ceiling in the high school's foyer by the gym leaked constantly and the classroom ceilings were starting to fall apart.

My younger siblings attended Hacker Middle and constantly commented on what a pit that place is.
