Don't forget to vote Tuesday
The election is six days away and we can't encourage people enough to get out an vote.
It's not simply a right, it's also a duty.
Every American should make themselves aware of candidates and their positions on issues, then exercise their responsibility to cast a ballot for the person they think will do the best job.
We're the greatest democracy the world has ever seen, yet voter turnout is often abysmally low. Some states have tried to make it harder to vote, but in Idaho it's actually gotten easier, with absentee voting available at the courthouse until close of business this Friday. It takes less than five minutes to vote.
Last week, we convened our editorial board to list the people we think would do the best job.
This week, those who objected get the last word on these pages. That's only fair.
But the ultimate last word is your secret ballot at the polls next Tuesday.
Exercise that fundamental right, and do so wisely.
