  • WE ARE WATCHING.......I dont have a problem funding education......I have problem funding MORE ADMISTRATORS........OUR DISTRICT SHOT ITSELF IN THE HEAD WITH THE HIRE OF THAT VICE PRINCIPAL FOR 60-70 THOU.......SO MY SUGGESTION TO THIS BLUE RIBBON COMMITTE IS NO WISH LIST. LETS GET TO WHAT WE NEED TO DO.....Yes the economy is showing signs of recovery that does not mean that we count chickens before they hatch.THERE WILL BE NO BOOM AS SOME THINK WE SHOULD HAVE....there will be a slow gradual recovery,if we have a boom we are in deep trouble because it too will be a LIE.

I also suggest that the people on that committee ask there neighbors for there input kinda like check and verify my suggestion.

  • Lamont,

You hit the nail on the head.

I personally think the volunteer committee may be being led down the road to recommend more money from taxpayer emergency fund. They do the recommendation and the school board won't get blamed. Takes the board off the hook.

I agree about hiring hiring vice principal. Should never have added to administration.

The blue ribbon committee should ask people for their input, I agree. Not just their neighbor either. I feel for them being put in this situation. Maybe the half that didn't show up at the meeting had second thoughts?

The whole problem starts with the Fed Government, then they pond it off on the State, then the State ponds it off on the School District, now the School District ponds it off on the general public to fix their problems. Just another way to say business as usual, now blame it on the public that will never have all the information needed to find a fix. Staff is top heavy with people and pay for not even trying to work with the money they do get. They have called Wolf so many times, hard to believe them on anything anymore. I guess nobody has heard the word tightned your belts we got a big ecomony problem going on.

I also agree talk with alot of people and get their feelings on what is going on, not just the business folks either but all that pay taxes.

  • What a joke. Economy turning around? Really? Once again Kelly writes in the plural form. BRC---is yet another attempt of the MHSD to extort more money from those of us who pay property taxes. What a waste. It will end up just like the WECRD/CLDC/YMCA.

  • Well according to our esteemed elected officials at the state level, the economy is turning around. Lower unemployment rates, higher tax revenues, etc.
