  • you have to be joking! were you even at the forum held last week?

Schipani, Sykes and Bondy all stated at one time or another...."I am not aware or up to speed on that issue".

Russ Anderson on the other hand had an intelligent, well-thought out, experienced answer for EVERY question.

None of the candidates (except for Anderson) had any vision for what they wished to accomplish during their term. All three acted like they were operating under the "give me the job and I'll figure out the rest later" mindset.

On Nov. 8th there is only ONE clear answer!

I won't vote for any of the weasels that are in office. They are all crooked to include Anderson. We need new people in every position.

I have to agree with the "The voters really can't go wrong in this election" statement. I'd be proud to serve on the council with any of them. Win or lose, I'll be at the City Council Meeting anyway. But I'd like to take this opportunity to ask that 2 candidates withdraw from the election this week. Any takers? :-) Please get out and vote on or before November 8th.

FlagshipOne...Appreciate the comment. Obviously you have an internet connection so you can see some information about what I would like to accomplish. Most of the information has been published for weeks. Don't know if it's legal to include my website address but a well informed and educated person shouldn't have much trouble doing some research on the search engine of your choice.

Buckshot61: Thanks for the comment. In a perfect world, I could please everyone with my platform. But I was told by another individual she won't be voting for because I think the City should provide "some" incentive for businesses coming to town. In other words, I lost her vote because I'm willing to consider give incentive's. My stance on decreasing impact fee is...it must be incentive based. The business achieves certain employee or monetary goals then and only then the incentive kicks in. As far as your other reasons, I'd be glad to discuss them with you. Call, e-mail me or leave a comment on my website. The good part is you are voting and that's the important part

Bucksho61t: Are you purposely trying to twist my words around to make your point? Go back and read what I wrote. The part where I mention something about "achieving certain goals" is where you may want to start. But I feel I must state this clearly and plainly for you...I would never give any business incentives, lower their impact fees or any taxpayer money if they are already successful. I'll be glad to further explain my stance on incentives to attract new business over the phone or on this public forum if you wish.

Buckshot...Sorry if what I said in some way offended you. I was just try to clarify my stand on this a very important issue.

Buckshot61: My stand on the issue is to develop a user database so the golf course can better understand its customers. This data will be used to set course fees and target new potential customers so the golf course can start making a profit. A profit that has never been realized in its entire history. At the same time, all taxpayers get to pay off well over $1 million in bond payments in the next 9 years. I've not heard of any other ideas to appease the concerns of non-golfers in this community. Of course I am willing to listen to any reasonable ideas that you or any other knowledgeable person can come up with.

And again, I won't get your vote because of my stand to increase the users fees. I also won't get at least one other vote because I'm not in favor of selling off the golf course to a private investor/owner.

I believe in developing a platform through research, the best possible data I can find and my core values. I make this information freely available to the voters so they can make an educated vote. I'm truly sorry you think I made a Big Mistake by doing so.

Again, I make the offer to talk over any issues or problems you have with my platform. Call me or keep on posting right here. I'll check back in a few days.
