The Department of Homeland Insecurity is going to spend three quarters of a million dollars to protect Anderson Ranch Dam from terrorists.
What a waste of money. We'd love to know who did the threat analysis that made anybody think the dam would be high on any terrorist's list of targets. We're not sure any terrorist in the world even knows the dam exists, much less cares. Sure, we're all for national security, but come on folks, if we're going to be throwing hard-earned taxpayer dollars at the problem, let's not just pour it down a rat hole. That money could be spent on a lot of other things, like making sure somebody actually watches the terrorist watch lists for people coming into this country. Its no worse than what the WECRD has been pulling for years and nothing to show for it and what the School District just pulled off for 5.6 million for the next 2 years and thats our tax dollars at work doing nothing.
What did you EXPECT Napolitano to do? Her JOB?
They won't secure the borders because of all the potential Democrat votes if they can sneak this "amnesty" crap through, like they have everything else.
So Obama gives Holder the green light to SUE ARIZONA instead, while Obama tells John Kyl he will NOT secure the border because if he DID, the GOP would have no reason to work with him on "Immigration Reform" (Democrat code word for AMNESTY).
Like all the rest of these socialist "Czars".......Napolitano TOO was hand-picked by the "Annointed One."
Many "endorsed" this regime during the campaign, but I did NOT.................so those out there who DON'T like what's been happening from one end of this country to the other..........SAY SO at the polls in both November, and in 2012.

I highly doubt that the terrorists even know where Idaho is or that it even exisits....lol. I agree though, it is a gross waste of money that could be used in far better places, like the MH school system.
Let the water start bursting through that Dam and see what happens... a bet a lot of people will start blaming the Government for not being pro-active....
Wouldn't do any good. The Mexican illegals and drug cartels have been "bursting" through the borders for YEARS now, and even when people scream DO about it, the government does nothing.............except SUE the friggin' STATE for defending itself.
And they are trying to put a sneak-package for AMNESTY through right now...........calling it a "comprehensive immigration reform bill."
These new guys are slick about changing nomenclatures to make it sound like something else, that the public might take little notice of until it's too late.

Using what he calls "Pardon Power", the "Annointed One" is looking at trying to sign an Executive order to just grant mass amnesty for all!

The Democrats always portray themselves as the "party of the people", the fair and balanced, the lady of justice with the blindfold and the scales.........the "right and wrong" in this country.
But since DAY ONE of his administration, NOTHING these jackals have done has been ABOVE BOARD.
WITHOUT EXCEPTION.............if they can't get enough votes to get something done, they just find some way to skirt around the Constitution, lock the other guys out, grease each others' palms and sneak something through, in the middle of the night so nobody else knows what happened but THEM. Most decent people wouldn't find out about it until AFTER the fact.
If the Republicans were in power, and were doing this "cloak & dagger" crap...........the libs out there would be having a STROKE!
This latest "bill" they just signed at 4:30 the other morning prior to Obama's "G-20 Summit" is yet another classic example............
..............another 2,000-psger that nobody has had time to read and comprehend.-------But like "Princess Pelosi" said about the Obamacare Bill............"Well, we just have to PASS it, so we can see what's in it."
One thing's for sure.............you can BET this bill does NOT include any SPENDING FREEZES by the GOVERNMENT!

Believe it or not 'Zook, I agree with most of the things you say. But you have a propensity to inject your beliefs into everything that walks, talks, or breathes on this website. That's all I'm saying. (and your post wasn't the only one I was talking about)

I guess I DO get pretty wound up about a lot of things------------but there's a lot of crap going down today, that not too many people seem to get real concerned about.
And complacency is so dangerous...........December 7, 1941 and Sept 11, 2001 come quickly to mind.
I just don't want our country to be asleep at the wheel. 3rd time might just BE the "charm."
I have rarely ever agreed with Kelly, but this time he has hit the ail on the head! What a total waste of money and effort (note: our government working against us as usual). Any idiot knows that if that dam goes, so do we, so whats the point? The terrorists and illegals get a larger swimming hole and Mountain Home goes under, water that is. I think we have far larger issues to worry about, the education of our children and grand children comes to mind, the safety of the citizens of our community comes to mind, but Anderson Dam is low on my priority list.
