  • Very well said and truthful.

  • Love the story Kelly. Your so very right we no longer shop at the one main retail store in Mountain Home just for that reason. No names need to be mentioned, but I look at it like this We will pay 10 to 25 cents or more on things we need just for the service we get. My husband and I figured it out and this retailer lost $1200 dollars or more from this household alone including gas per month. Nice job Kelly and refreshing to see there are still places out there that care.

  • I agree with you as well, but just FYI St. Al's does do valet parking. It was the first hospital I have ever been to that did and I agree that it is quite nice.

  • Hope your family member is doing okay.

I was at St Luke's on Broadway in January and they had valet parking as well...it was in the daytime so I don't know if it's all day. Just drive in the circular drive in front and you'll see the sign. We noticed it as we left; I had been left off at a different door earlier. Oh well.

  • Some years back my late mother was visiting and wanted to get postcards of Mtn Home and Elmore County for souvenirs as well as to mail home, but none were to be found as everything everywhere was display for Christmas...

A clerk at one of the drug stores went into the back room and brought out an entire display stand of postcards for my mother to look through at her leisure. My mother picked out several.

That was not the only instance of service she noticed here. She to her dying day praised the "old fashioned" service in Mtn Home.

It made me very proud of my new hometown. (My mother, bless her heart, was, at times, somewhat hard to please...)

I still find courtesy and helpfulness in Mtn Home and prefer not to go elsewhere.
