  • I remember being there for that red-stamp veto. How exciting!

  • Wow Kelly! For once, I'm inclined to agree with everything you've said. Never, EVER thought I'd say that. But I suppose there's a first, and last, time for everything! :) We'll see what the future holds soon enough.

  • Joe was absolutely right about the readdressing system. What a stupid concept. Let's change all of the addresses so that the new emergency crews can learn the addresses. That meant that everyone had to learn the addresses. I still don't know how to find anything by the address. The other system made more sense.

I also think that there is a "Golf Course" group that Joe was not as big a part of as the "Golf Supporters" in and out of City Government think is neccessary to be the mayor in Mountain Home. The Golf Course will always be a sore point and will always have the City dumping money into it. Maybe Joe didn't agree with that. It's the good old buddy system.

  • Good work, Observer. You hit it right on the head. The readdressing issue was more about politics and campaign promises than it was about doing what was best for the city's emergency workers.

  • You are right Observer. Joe was being stubborn when he made the Veto when it was really necessary to correct a few addresses to comply with the ones that had already been changed.

Who had the dumb idea to change all of the addresses to begin with?

We need to have a "default to orginal" button. That would be very helpful in Mountain Home.

  • THANK YOU KELLY, FOR YOUR EDITORIAL ON MAYOR MCNEAL. I AM SO GLAD THAT SOMEONE OTHER THAN MYSELF HAS SEEN HIM AS YOU HAVE: A NICE GUY, BUT A TERRIBLE LEADER. WE CAN DO BETTER AND HOPEFULLY AFTER THIS ELECTION, WE WILL HAVE A BETTER PERSON FOR THE JOB.

  • bc,

Did you feel that your comment was so important that you had to shout it to us?(use all capital letters)

You admitted that Joe has at least one good quality. He is a nice guy. You can't even say that about the other candidate. Or-----

maybe you mean that we can get a better person in the next election in four years.
