According to Wikipedia - "A blog (an abridgment of the term web log) is a website, usually maintained by an individual, with regular entries of commentary, descriptions of events, or other material such as graphics or video. Entries are commonly displayed in reverse chronological order. "Blog" can also be used as a verb, meaning to maintain or add content to a blog.
Many blogs provide commentary or news on a particular subject; others function as more personal online diaries. A typical blog combines text, images, and links to other blogs, web pages, and other media related to its topic. The ability for readers to leave comments in an interactive format is an important part of many blogs. We encourage people to write Blogs here at the Mountain Home News.
It can be personal experiences, such as Bazookaman, opinions from Kelly Everitt, movie reviews from Mike Nowotny, or Random Thoughts by Robert Taylor.
You can blog about anything, your gardening, news, local history, books, movies.... the list is endless. So, instead of complaining about what we write, why don't you write what you are interested in? Each person has different ideas, lives, families, whatever. We would love to read about yours. I love blogs. Perhaps it's the voyeur in me. Perhaps it's my obsessive interest in how other people's minds work. Perhaps, it's my love of reading. Of course, it's likely all three.
I must say, I'm quite pleased to see this vastly differing opinion from the last opinion I read, in this newspaper, on blogs.
For those of you curious on what I'm referring to, peruse back Kelly Everitt's--November of last year. That entry STILL disappoints me.
