What is that supposed to mean? Most single parents receiving child support barely get by on what they are receiving now, and the government wants to take away from it!?

Most of the divorces in Elmore County are either young couples with children or older couples with no children. The young parents have enough trouble trying to take care of their children when they are married, how do you expect them to be single parents trying to take care of the children on child support from a parent who may or may not have a job or who does not pay the child support? The little bit of money that most receive for child support barely feeds the children. There is usually not even enough money for school clothes or to pay for our children's "free" education.

What about the ones who are paying their child support, should they send in extra money so that the entire amount that the court says you pay will be there? Or will they always be $2 each month in debt?

I'm sure there are other worthwhile areas that the government can use to pay off the national debt. Maybe we should start collecting on the loans our country has made to other countries. They aren't being paid either. If they did perhaps the word "national debt" would be replaced with "in the black."

This is crazy. Taking money from the people to pay off debts incured by the elite. Why can't they not think of a better solution.Like reducing the taxes of the lottery winnings use that money instead.Better yet if all these presidential candidates are able to raise millions tosupport their campaign why can't they raised millions to help pay the national indebtedness.People in the white house, we put you there to help us, not to milk us.

Ross Perot said it best: If you want to know what's wrong with America, just look in the mirror. This Child Support theft is yet one more example of what happens when we keep voting the same idiots back into office on a nationwide basis.

Among other things, the illegal IRS-----(and they ARE,,,,) even taxes what little interest you manage to gain on your savings account. You inherit an old upright piano from your late Aunt Tillie that has been in your fanily for 3 generations, and some bureaucrat STILL thinks he has the right to tax you yet AGAIN for receiving it.

I just wonder........how much more is going to have to go down before the American people say "ENOUGH" and follow the lead of our founding fathers and start booting the "redcoats" out of here.

THEY work for US.......don't they?

I agree that Idaho Child Support Reciepting and Recieving need to get it together! I recieve child support and my husband pays child support to his ex. Now I have to pay the National Debt out of money that I must fight tooth and nail to get out of my children's biological father? Why me? Why any of us? It is most ridiculous, I must say, we have to pay the attorney to get the order, we have to pay the state to enforce the order and now they make us pay the National Debt. Well hell if I lived in Washington, DC and made the National Debt I sure as hell wouldn't need the child support that was ordered to help support my children. I have to pay now to help support Senators, Congressman, and the President raise their children. Why don't they all give up their salaries for one year -- perhaps the National Debt would go into remission then?

In my opinion the whole Idaho Child support system is screwed up. I am paying a child support debt that isn't even mine. No matter how hard I fought, they said I owe.

I found out recently that I have been paying current and back support for my children who lived with their Grandmother for 2 years.

I raised my children to adulthood after this, and pay "back support" and have been for 10 years!

They take half of my husbands taxes, Federal and State every year and he isn't even the biological Father, but raised these boys from the ages of 3 and 4 on!

There is a lien on any property I own. I regained custody of my children 6 months after I voluntary signed temporary custody of them over to my

mother while I straightened out my life to give them a better one.

As a result I ended up owing 17 thousand dollars to the State and their biological father has paid nothing ever, even though there was a court order for him to do so.

He is now on disability and his debt is forgiven completely. Meanwhile, I am still paying for the support of the children I raised.

So what's up with that????

Child Support in Idaho really needs to get their act together.
