Chris Blais, 3rd place 2007 Dakar

I apologize for disappearing for the last few weeks. I was at the Nevada Rally Experience the week of the 14th meeting with other Paris to Dakar enthusiasts. I actually did a fair amount of training and preparations for the event during preceding month. I met old friends and made new acquaintances all in the shadow of Chris Blais's recent injury. Chris was to be the American Dakar team for next year; this is a great loss for America. Chris is working through a tough recovery and is in a wheel chair.

I am working on a full report of the event. I also traveled through a fair amount of land that was converted to Wilderness and have some information that might apply to Idahoans.
