End the offensive team name

We agree with those who are pushing for the Washington Redskins to change their name.
To the American public, Washington has become such a pejorative, offensive and foul word that only a radical change would be appropriate. Frankly, the name stinks.
The team actually plays its games in Landover, Maryland, so perhaps Washington could be replaced with one of those two names. Anything to get rid of Washington.
Sticking by the name Washington is driving supporters away in droves. It is disruptive to society and just overall negative. It's approval rating is now less than 5 percent in the polls.
It's time for a change.
