  • Kelly, I have been involved in some intensive study of our nations, and the world's economic situation and possible solutions. One of the best books I have read concerning the need for and creation of jobs with to respect to the current economic conditions is by Jim Clifton, "The Coming Jobs War". In which Mr. Clifton states "If America is to be fixed quickly, it needs a minimum of 5,000,000 new good jobs right now and a minimum of 10,000,000 new good jobs, net gained, within five years. Those jobs can't be government provided "shovel-ready" jobs because they have to be sustainable jobs created organically from the spirit of people thorough entrepreneurship and innovation". It then is my personal opinion that we should only elect officials, local, state and national, whose focus is to provide a market climate that generates and encourages businesses to grow and expand or create new businesses through entrepreneurship and innovation that can and will create the afore mentioned sustainable jobs. If our elected officials are unable to do that, then we need to hold them accountable and not re-elect them.

    I appreciate your thoughts.
