  • I don't believe I have ever decided that I couldn't stand a person that I have never met. I can see disliking policies or politics, but not being able to stand a person you have never met?

  • I am not sure if dislike is the word. I think sometimes we instinctively sense that a person is not the genuine article that they appear to be.

Sometimes you just sense danger. And only because there is something missing from that person's demeanor to indicate warmth or empathy.

Roy, I'm not sure that "hate" was the correct word. I wrote this in the middle of a rage and my words may have came out a little harsher than intended.

We have all turned on the TV or seen someone in the local Walmart (you see all kinds of characters there) and thought, "that person is an idiot," without that person even speaking a word. That's the way I feel about our President. His words have only backed up my thoughts.

But, like Buckshot said, that really wasn't the point of my blog. The point of my blog was about the double standard when it comes to racism.

Could you imagine the crap storm that would've blown my way if I posted a blog saying that we as white people should vote for Romney, simply because he is white! Now, imagine that storm if Rush or Beck posted that blog! People would be calling for their heads!

But, it's OK for this Joyner idiot to do it because he is black.

Im just tired of the double standard was basically my point, Roy.

If you're a Republican, you're a racist. If you don't like Obama, you're a racist. If you're white, you're a racist. But, if you're black, it's OK to say whatever you want. I'm sick of it! And by me being sick of it, guess what? That makes me a racist!

You're absolutely right, Mike, and I agree. The cataract surgery was a great analogy! If your doctor would have screwed up your left eye, would you go back to him and give him a second chance on the right one? Of course not.

That's exactly what this president is asking for with a second term.

He already has a lot of people blinded but, not me!

Sorry for the short response. I'm going to try and stay out of commenting on my own blogs.

I just use it to put my opinion out there and maybe vent a little. And if people want to comment or disagree, well great. I really don't want to get into the screaming matches that I have seen on here :)

On that note, I think I will go gather up my horse, and possibly a cold beer and just ride until I find a field that I can sit and enjoy this day in.

Wow, I just made myself sound like such a hillbilly! Hahahaha

    Have a great weekend everyone!

  • I DONT THINK YOUR A RACIST,I DO THINK YOU SEE THINGS A BIT ONE SIDED...... SO THE QUESTION IS WHEN IT WAS THE OTHER WAY AROUND DID YOU FEEL THE SAME????And for your info Rush And Beck have both said things like we better vote for the white guy or we are done. AND ryan lets not forget the racist cartoons, and comments and allegations if you are going to make the charge you are making do it evenly and look at it all. Please remember this, some of us have lived with double standards longer than you have been alive......and it isnt fun.And it continues to this day......your father in law knows me so I asure you.HE WILL TELL YOU I HAVE BEEN THERE.......LATTER

Well crap, Lamont. I'm breaking my rule of not commenting on my own blog. But, I feel that I need to clarify a few things so no one gets the wrong impression of me since I am new here.

    1) I don't believe I am seeing things one sided. If a white guy was telling whites to vote for Romney because of his color and that's where our loyalty should stand, I would have just as much of a problem with that as I do the other.

    2) You said that Rush and Beck said that we better vote for the white guy or we are done. Did they actually say "vote for the white guy versus the black guy" or were they simply saying 'not to vote for Obama' and it so happens that the other candidate was white?

3)I'm not sure which racist cartoons, comments, and allegations you are talking about. If you are talking about the cartoon that I have on my blog, I don't see that as being racist at all. It is a cartoon character of Obama (and his Dumbo ears :))making fun of his "Yes We Can" signs that were a part of his campaign.

I understand that you have had to live with double standards but, that's the country that we live in. Yourself, Mike, my wife and countless other Soldiers, Seaman, Airman, and Marines have faught to ensure that people can voice their opinions, racist or not.

My problem is, don't call me a racist because I can't stand the President but yet in the same breath, tell the black community that they should vote for him because he is black.

I'm not talking about you personally, I'm talking about this idiot, Joyner.

This is what it all comes down to. In America, we all have the RIGHT to be racist if we want. Not saying it is right but, that's part of our freedoms. If I want to dislike the President or anyone else because of their skin color, that's my choice, and your choice as well. The thing is, don't be a hypocrite about it. This Joyner guy can't tell his black listeners to vote solely based on color and then get mad at whites for doing the same thing.

Regardless of who started it first or how long anyone has had to deal with it, hopefully we are ALL striving for a better country. There's always going to be racism, there's always going to be bigotry. Just OWN it, is all I'm saying. If you're a racist, be a racist. If I'm a racist, let me be a racist. But, don't be a racist who is upset because I'm a better racist than you!

Again, I'm not talking about you and I personally. I'm talking about people in general so, don't take this the wrong way.

    Have a good day, Lamont

Yes i wore a uniform for a long time for the rights WE ALL ARE SOPPOSED TO ENJOY AND I DONT HAVE TO TOLERATE DESCRIMINATION.NEVER HAVE AND NEVER WILL AND THAT INCLUDES DISCRIMINATION AGAINST YOU.

JOYNER made you MAD but you justified his right to do that.I found it intresting that you were listening to him at all......So for me I have to say maybe some things will change.....have a good day.

Do you remember when Carol Burnett used to play the cleaning lady and she chased the "dirt/spotlight with her mop"?

No matter how hard she tried to mop up the dirt, it kept eluding her. Life is kind of like that when you keep seeing the dirt and how unfair it is that it can't be mopped up.

We know it is wrong to have attitudes of superiority toward our fellow man. To demand one thing from one group of people and laugh at the transgressions of another group is very wrong. That little dust of fairness keeps jumping just beyond our reach.

I don't think any of us want to gloss over the fact that life is unfair and that some people seem to get away with a type of emotional extortion on a daily basis.

Baloney inspectors come in all shapes and sizes, all walks of life and every color of the rainbow. Some baloney inspectors give out copious citations while others accept bribes. Some turn a blind eye and pretend to not see what is really going on and others vigorously deny that the lunch meat has not gone bad.

Thank you Zook For Being a Top Baloney Inspector. I only hope that someday, I will be as good as you.

I couldn't resist injecting a little bit of humor in my comment. Have a nice weekend everyone.

Watch out for the dumpster diving baloney inspector, they are very sneaky.

  • To Keith and Buckshot. My response was driven by the opening statements in this blog which most of you seemed to have overlooked. My personal opinion is that it is wrong to judge a person before knowing them. What if Obama were as far right as Cain? Keith, would you still dislike him because of his arrogant swagger? Arrogant swagger, such a petty reason to dislike or hate a person.

-- Posted by royincaldwell on Sat, Feb 25, 2012, at 6:58 AM

-- Posted by royincaldwell on Sat, Feb 25, 2012, at 7:18 AM
  • I have no use for any type of racism as anyone can tell from some of my other post that I have caught great heat for, so please don't try and tell me how I feel about racism. What the commentator said was wrong, but it's his opinion, that's what he gets paid to do, same as all commentators.

All this rhetoric distracts from any real issues.

Ratings is the name of the game. All's fair in love and war.

Again, Roy, 'hate' might have been too strong of a word. But, to answer your question, yes. Even if he were as 'far right' as they come, I still would have disliked him.

I have a gift, or call it a curse, to be able to tell if I am going to like someone or what kind of a person they are, usually within the first 5 minutes of seeing or meeting that person.

I don't know what it is or why it is but, like KH said, you can usually just pick up on things about a person.

Don't tell me how I am wrong for doing this. This is the way that I have operated my whole life and very seldom have I been wrong about a person.

  • I did a research on this tom Joyner It seems his audience is predominantly black. I had never heard of him before. He also has a foundation set up which is for sending black students to college.

So all I can say if you don't like that he speaks only to a black audience, contact him an tell him what you think. Be the first white person to join his audience. Diversify

REACH Media was formed in January 2003 to develop, acquire and partner in quality media and marketing opportunities targeting the African American community. Tom Joyner, radio's preeminent African-American entertainer REACH Media's founder, chairperson and majority owner.

    Here's a link

    http://www.blackamericaweb.com/?q=promo/20690

I would also like to add I have run a cross a mexican channel on the radio. All I do is change the channel because I don't care for most of their music.

Whoa Whoa Whoa, MsMarylin!! This is exactly the point of my blog! How is racism, when commited by blacks OK but, if done by whites it's an 'OUTRAGE'??

Would you tell the black community to just turn the channel if David Duke had 8 MILLION listeners and was telling white people that they should be loyal and vote for Romney because of his Whiteness?

Would you tell the blacks, "maybe you should join his audience and diversify."???????

This is EXACTLY what I am talking about!

I couldn't care less if this guy is sending kids to school. Some how to you, that makes him a good person or else you wouldn't have added that in your comment.

What kind of an idiot do you think someone would have looked like if they would have told Al Sharpton, "I've never heard of Don Imus but, regardless of his comments about that girls basketball team, I heard he sends white kids to college."

"Oh, by the way Mr. Sharton, maybe you should diversify and start listening to 'Imus in the Mornings'"

Thank you for being a prime example of what had me so irritated in the first place, MsMarylin.

To follow up, MsMarylin, not only am I irate about your comment but, I'm sure it would have a lot of people in the black community irritated as well. It goes against everything they have been fighting for.

What Mr. Joyner is condoning also goes against a speech from someone you may have heard of, Dr. Martin Luther King JR.

He says, "I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character."

Tom Joyner wants his 8 Million black listeners to throw that speech away and judge a man based solely on the color of his skin.

Now are you saying that's OK, MsMarilyn?

-- Posted by KentuckyTransplant on Sat, Feb 25, 2012, at 10:12 AM
  • If he is speaking to an audience of his own color explain to me how that is being a racist.

If he was speaking bad about people of other colors to his audience of black folks then I would say he was a racist!

How could he have said this

"We have the chance to re-elect the first African-American president, and that's what we ought to be doing. And I'm not afraid or ashamed to say that as black people, we should do it because he's a black man.

NO ONE else who was listening was WHITE?

What if there was a Miss Idaho and you were proud that she had made the finals in the Miss America Contest. Wouldn't you tell all your friends to vote for her because she is from your home state or the state you reside at?

You don't get it do you KT?? How can he be a racist if he is speaking to his own color?

Do you think the Mexicans are racists because they speak in spanish to their audience on their radio stations?

-- Posted by MsMarylin on Sat, Feb 25, 2012, at 10:23 AM
  • Like I said before I never heard of the guy so therefore I didn't listen to anything he had to say. I only know of what he might of said by reading what you wrote.

Are you serious? You really believe what you are saying? When the Klan has a meeting, what color are they speaking to? I guess they aren't racist at allbecause they are only talking to whites?

If you are going to quote someone, please use the intire quote. Not just the part that makes it sound acceptable.

"Let's not even deal with the facts right now. Let's deal with just our blackness and pride -- and loyalty. We have the chance to re-elect the first African-American president, and that's what we ought to be doing. And I'm not afraid or ashamed to say that as black people, we should do it because he's a black man. There are a great number of people who are against him because he's a black man. That should be enough motivation for us to band together and get it done."

How is that not racist?? It's that judging a man based on the color of his skin and not on his character? Would it be racist if it were coming from a white man??

And yes, I do get it! It doesn't matter that he was speaking to his own color. If I told a group of white people that I hated black people, would that make me a racist or not? I guess with your logic I wouldn't be.

And are you serious about the Mexican question? That doesn't even make sense.

  • I DO NOT CONDONE RACIST REHTORIC FROM EITHER SIDE......IT DOES NOTHING TO FOSTER UNDERSTANDING.I WOULD NOT AND DO NOT SUBSCRIBE TO MR JOYNER PREMISE.I think this should be considered just because this person says something doesnt mean it is accepted. Because condemnation is not public doesnt mean it isnt done.Keith the same things you say about the comment of what he does is the same that was said in defense of Imus. There are BLACKS WHO SAY I CANT BE RACIST IM BLACK....I SAY YES YOU CAN AND YOU BLACKNESS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH IT.MR JOYNER LIKE MR LIMBAUGH PLAYS TO THE BASIC FEARS OF A SELECT AUDIENCE.....THEY ARE BOTH IN THE SAME BOX.

IF people make allowances for RUSH WHY NOT JOYNER?????? is he being political YES.....is RUSH? and he did say we better vote for the white guy so is it different no it.s not.YOU CAN ARGUE HIS RATIONAL AS STATED BUT HIS APPEAL AND WHO HE IS APPEALING TO CANNOT BE.MY reason for saying that is because For a large part of the black community it is about race and for a larg part of the white community it is about race. For some it is not ....but the time hasnt come yet were we could say.....it doesnt matter if we did as a society we would be lying.....if it didnt we wouldnt be having this conversation

I invite all to review a Bob Parks blog at http://www.black-and-right.com/the-democrat-race-lie/ and then try to convince me why any thinking black person would ever vote democrat. Democrats have been extremely anti-black as far back as the mid-1800s.

  • Great blog.

Do you really have to "meet" someone to "know" them? I think what they vote for/do not vote for and what they say/do not say tell us, the voting public, who and what they are. How many of us can really say we "know" the POTUS? Not many of us have been to the White House (is that racist by the way...White House?) for a "sleep over" or dinner? How many of us regular Joes can pay 30K per plate to go to dinner with these jokers? Really?!?! If these people really wanted to schmooz with their voting public and know the issues---the "events" would be free.

I can't stand Obama. It is not because he is black. It is because he is a liar and a cheat and he surrounds himself with criminals and thugs. And, you are what you associate yourself with. He is a Muslim at heart, not an American. He makes an apology to a country who has killed unarmed journalists...just because. He bows to a "leader"...just because. He will turn his back on Israel...to further his Muslim relations.

Change we can believe in! This is why I do not like Obama. If a white man/woman did this, I would have the same issues. The guy is a liar---and is working really hard to bankrupt this country in the name of "CHANGE." Well, he can keep the "change" if this is what it costs us.

Watch fuel prices skyrocket. Watch food prices skyrocket. Watch wages fall (if you can even keep/find a job that it). Watch the value of your home fall...more. Yep, change I believe in! We, as a nation, can't afford to have Obama for another 4 years...unless of course you want your shorts to read "Property of the US Government." That is where we are headed. Not all dislike/contempt in this country is related to skin color.

I agree Lamont and I'm glad that you see the racism in both sides.

The whole point of my blog was to show that there is racism and it doesn't just come from the whites. But, we as a country some how think it's OK, or you aren't allowed to say anything if it is coming from a black man.

Until WE AS A WHOLE acknowledge that, nothing is going to change! People, like MsMarylin, who only see it coming from one side ARE part of the problem.

I wasn't a part of this blog when Imus made his comments but, you can bet that I would have had something to say about it. I obviously saw it as racism or I wouldn't even have brought it up in my previous comment.

I'm sure there are a lot of people that are making allowances for Joyner but, until everyone stops making those allowances for both sides, NOTHING is going to CHANGE!

You can't have people like MsMarylin only seeing racism as a white mans job and expect change. That just allows it to flourish in other places.

I understand that for some blacks and whites it's about race, not me. But, until you start calling EVERYONE on that, nothing is going to change.

If you see a booger, call it a booger! Don't dance around on eggshells and feel like you have to call it "an expelled nose projectile".

"Blackness." Interesting choice of words once again. But yep...along with all of your other comments...you are not racist! Wow. Does it make you feel better to be able to read and type that you are not a racist? Just because you can say it/type it does not make it so. You focus more on skin color than any other person who posts on this paper. Why is that?

I don't believe I have ever decided that I couldn't stand a person that I have never met. I can see disliking policies or politics, but not being able to stand a person you have never met?

  • Thank you I read the whole thing

Reading this part helped in understanding

"At one time, I didn't see the harm in the public criticisms from black leaders, but a conversation I had with a friend and colleague who voted for Obama last time around made me think differently. This guy is black, high school-educated and gets most of his news from our show, CNN, MSNBC and C-SPAN. A few weeks ago, when Tavis Smiley and Cornel West began to make the rounds on the cable networks, he started to have second thoughts about Obama. He actually began to let the negativity seep into his brain and said, "What IS Obama doing for Black people? Look at how many of us are unemployed; he's not doing nothing about that."

I still don't take it as him being racist... I take it as him being a motivational speaker. He's not telling the blacks to go out and kill some white guys. The KKK held meetings. They met to decide which black person they were going to hang or shot to death

-- Posted by MsMarylin on Sat, Feb 25, 2012, at 12:08 PM
  • Oh the irony Bondy indeed!

Given what is going on in Israel these days and my Jewish ties and Mr. Obama's decisions this week...my fall from grace.

Kind of like a guy who runs for office and has no clue what the issues are in his local community.

Like I said, MsMarylin, you can take bits and pieces of it and not see the racism. But, telling someone to do something (good or bad) based solely on skin color, is racism! And the person needs to be called out on it.

I guess this is just one of those times that we are going to have to agree to disagree. (Before I end up pulling my hair out hahahahaha.)

  • Not a dumb question MsM. Have to go to Boise. The temple up there has a lot of history and was moved several years back from its State Street Location (it was next door to the YMCA). It is a pretty neat place to visit even if you are not Jewish. Try to visit with Rabbi Fink if you have a few minutes. The original building is very interesting to look at.

I will say this, if what IS DISPLAYED HERE IS WHAT BEING A REPUB IS ABOUT I'LL PASS.I DO HAVE SOME FRIENDS THAT IF IT WERE NOT FOR THEM I WOULD BE REALLY HOSTILE TO REPUBS.YOU guys are alright you see it your way the dems see it theres I think a lot of it is how you exspress it.The repubs want the dems to accept it there way without listening to liberal concerns....I feel those concerns are dismissed out of hand.AT THAT POINT ALL COMMUNICATIONS STOP,ONE other thing it is nice to deal with functionality ,but not without considering the human side I dont see the human side from the repubs. That comes off as I got mine IF you get yours fine but you wont get any help from me.......AND I COULD BE WRONG.....MY OPINION ONLY....OK

  • Lamont: I normally would not respond to you, but you addressed me, so here goes. I will not address the content of your gibberish, as I refuse to read it. Others on these blogs have addressed your continued use of "Caps Lock", but you refuse to heed their admonishments. That's your prerogative. My prerogative is not to read your stuff.

The reasons why I won't read your offerings are many. I will address the few that come to mind. Your grammar is atrocious! You have no concept of composing a complete sentence. You have no idea as to the proper use of punctuation. Your spelling is as bad as your grammar. These deficiencies make deciphering your writings a real chore. The meaning of most of your (incomplete) sentences is up for grabs, so to speak. Just glancing over your stuff reminds me of trying to correct grade school English composition papers. For that, you get an F.

I've had Foreign Exchange Students that could write circles around you -- and that, just after disembarking from their arrival aircraft. As far as I can ascertain, you have lived most of your life either in the U.S. or surrounded by U.S. personnel. Why you haven't bettered yourself in all these years can only be attributed to laziness.

I have two daughters; one 42 years old with a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering; the other a 30 year old with a Teacher's Degree. She currently teaches high school Calculus. If either of them ever wrote to me using the caliber of writing you offer, they would be disowned.

I truly believe that if you would take the time to proof-read your compositions you just might improve your writing. Please give it a try.

  • FUNNY ....AL....I to have a BA degree and no I DID NOT LIVE ALL MY LIFE IN THE USA OF A.In all the forgien countries I was stationed in I lived on the economy...it's called gone native.28 YRS and never lived on base.By better yourself if your talking of dollars iv got plenty as I have OWNED AND OPERATED SEVERAL BUSINESS....FROM A BAR TO A EATRY TO CONSTRUCTION AND HOME RENTALS,MINE OWNED BY ME. SO by what judgement do you get off telling me what I am about. This blog believe it or not has NO priority with me at my age it is something to do.

So you havent read my entry's therefore you really dont know anything about me I CAN TELL THAT BY YOUR COMMENT ABOUT SURROUNDING MYSELF AFTER 28 YRS SERVICE I have BEEN TO MOST PLACES ON THIS GLOBE HAVE YOU??????and all but 2-3 states in this country.

This blog is nothing more than a right wing propaganda talking place, that takes pride in insulting and demeaning anyone deemed left or liberal I just happen to think there ought to be another opinion,my guess is so do some others... here.

I dont care about spelling or anything else here for several reasons....i just type as best i can if it gets there fine if it doesnt oh well

Got several children myself Al THEY ARE ALL HIGHLY EDUCATED JUST MEANS WE MADE A GREAT SACRIFICE TO MAKE SURE THAT GOT DONE.ONE IS AND INVESTMENT BANKER AND A WHARTON GRAD,ONE IS A PHILOSPHY TEACHER AND A HAMILTON GRAD ONE IS A VASSAR GRAD.So I'V been there done that.....AND AS TO THE COMMENT OF BEING LAZY I RAN SOME OF THOSE BUSINESSES WHILE ON ACTIVE DUTY.....YOU THINK MAYBE THAT MADE FOR A FULL DAY...and I wasnt a staff sgt either I always worked at the wg level or higher.YOU dont know me AL you have questions ask.....but DONT TRY TO TELL ME WHAT I AM ABOUT YOU DONT KNOW.And for what it is worth my kids are older than yours.....times were a lot harder to get them there.SO tell me again about lazy ?????????? • Lamont:

I'm not about to write an autobiography, but will tell you this: I am a 76 year old retiree. I served more than 30 years on active duty in the USMC. So you might say I've seen a bit of the world too.

My previous comments were strictly about your hard to read blog posts; nothing else. The current one is a little better, but still needs improvement. Question: Does your use of multiple question marks make a particular sentence more of a question than using just one?

My reference to laziness related to your inability to construct an intelligible sentence. Please go back and re-read my second paragraph. Your statement about not caring about spelling or anything else confirms my suspicion of laziness. There is a quality in life that is labeled "self- esteem". Apparently you missed the calling.

I did not disclose the ages of my daughters as a matter of comparison; only to give a little indication of my standing and background.

Your statement that this blog "takes pride in insulting and demeaning anyone deemed left or liberal" was thrown in for what purpose? Your political stance has nothing to do with the reason I replied to you in the first place. If you choose to stir up some political argument just for the sake of getting a response, you have chosen the wrong victim. I won't bite.

I just watched the video and I can honestly say that I got sick. This is the kind of stuff that I was talking about with him. His 'I dare you to say something' attitude!

You are right, Buckshot, it is disgusting. There is no way the black community would stand for Romney launching a campaign of 'Whites for Romney'. How can anyone think it is OK?

This president is dividing this country. Not by political parties but, by color. This whole thing isn't going to end well.

MsM. I checked out your link and saw what you were talking about. I saw where he has a group for AA's, women, Latinos, Asians and others but, I didn't see a group for whites. Where should I go on that site? Does he not want me there? He is inviting everyone else, why not whites?

How mad would you have gotten if Bush would have had a group for everyone except blacks on his page?

    MsMarylin:

There is a little more than grammar involved. I would suggest you go back and re-read everything Lamont and I have posted. Unless, you have a reading/comprehension problem, there should be no reason for you to respond. But, that is entirely up to you. I hate to see someone make a fool of themselves for no reason. • Check out 0bama's money problem:

"Despite the herculean efforts of the national media, President Obama's reelection campaign continues to fall short of its groundbreaking "Hope and Change" campaign in 2008. In January, its fundraising haul actually fell below the level raised in January 2008, when Obama was a first-term Senator running against the Democrat establishment's favorite candidate. They've resorted to raffling off dinner with the President, but eventually had to cut the price of raffle tickets from $5 to $1. Now, it seems, the Obama campaign has decided to resort to SEIU-style intimidation to fill its campaign coffers."

He's sinking fast, and he knows it.

  • MOST OF THE WEB SITES FOR THIS SO CALLED INFO ARE PART OF THE SITES LISTED FOR HATE SITES.....WHY IS THAT????? Seems that the sources can be used if they back your position even when the source is not credible.Non credible sources are sopposedly only used by the left that has been the charge has it not????

WE HAD ASIANS FOR MC CAIN,LATINOS FOR MC CAIN ETC.What is the problem?? IS it because he did it?? You want whites for....go for it!!!!! As was posted here before and not by me at first this is abour race always has been. This is the same garbage said in the first campaign there is no reason to think It would be different this time.I will bet it will be worse.

If you feel so strongly that WHITES in this country want him GONE then what are you worried about, let the process take place.Try to remember that the black population by itself can't elect anyone, therfore he had to have white support, so everyone doesnt feel as you do.They didnt then and they dont now.IF THIS WAS ABOUT POLICY THIS WOULDNT BE AND ISSUE WOULD IT????YOUR OWN CANDIDATES LET THE CAT OUT THE BAG OUT OF THERE OWN MOUTHS. FUNNY IT DIDNT BOTHER ANYONE WHEN THAT HAPPENED,OR WAS IT JUST AND INCONVEINT LIE???

REMEMBER THIS......THIS WAS AND IS THE FIRST TIME BLACKS OR MINORITY'S OF ANY PERSUASIAN HAD A CHOICE,BEFORE WE HAD NO CHOICE AS ZOOK WHOULD SAY WE GOT THE LESSER OF TWO EVILS.....WELCOME TO THE CLUB!!!!!! HA

    Then another Military & Family's .......

oh and one more there's one for the Homosexuals and I don't think it matters what color you are....

Maybe one of the above categories you will fit in.

If not there's always the WO-MEN one hahahahaha Sorry I couldn't stop myself

  • KT so I suppose your blaming Obama because Samuel Jackson said he voted for him because he is black?

    Here's something else Jackson said

Jackson, who skipped the Oscars to campaign for Obama four years ago, expressed his disappointment in the president, complaining that "in the end, he's a politician."

"I just hoped he would do some of what he said he was gonna do," Jackson said. "I know politicians say [bleep]; they lie. 'Cuz they want to get elected."

    Lamont,

I went back through every comment on this blogged and double checked the links posted. None of them were 'hate' sites and about half of them were Obamas sites. The other were anti-Obama, not hate sites. There is a big difference. Just because they are anti-Obama doesn't make the information any less factual.

You say there was Latinos and Asians for McCain. Like CJW's point, I have never seen a video where McCain did what Obama did.

You said, "You want whites for....go for it!!!!!" Now, can you imagine if a white candidate actually did this? You say that you would be OK with it but, I'm sure you could imagine the uproar from the rest of the black community.

This isn't about race for me. This is about the best man for the job. But, that's not who Obama wants black people to vote for. He wants them to vote for him because he is black and encourage other blacks to do the same. So yes, it is about race but, Obama is making it that way.

How have blacks or minorities never had a choice? Because there has never been a black or minority to vote for? Kind of takes us back to the title of this blog huh? You're black, he's black, vote for him....... REGARDLESS OF THE BEST MAN FOR THE JOB.

you might check out some of Morgan Freeman's remarks too. and a few others.

MsM. I couldn't care less what groups he does list on their, my problems is the ONE he doesn't! Again, answer my question. How would you have felt if Bush had all those groups listed except African-Americans? Would you tell a black guy "Maybe one of the above categories you will fit in.

If not there's always the WO-MEN one hahahahaha Sorry I couldn't stop myself" Please answer that one and be honest.

As far as Racist L. Jackson, I never said Obama was to blame. What part of any of my comments would make you say that? On MY blogs and in MY comments, I try to only deal in facts. Please have the common courtesy to do the same.

Also, when you were quoting Jackson, you left out his repeated use of the N word in those same paragraphs, why is that?

Sara Jessica Parker, Tom Hanks, Eva Longoria George Clooney, Robert Redford and Bill Maher to name a few

I'll check out what Morgan Freeman had to say a little later.

KT I said "I suppose you are blaming Obama" (isn't that more like a question)

If Bush didn't list a group for African-Americans then I would presume that he was so sure of himself he didn't need their vote....

If your feelings are hurt because Obama left us white folks out then I guess he feels his re-election is a sure thing and he won't need our vote.

The reason the (N) word was left out was the site I found that on didn't have it wrote out. I printed it out the way it was on that site. In other words I didn't try to phony it up or change words around like the Republicans do so very often!!

I can't debate with a person that isn't true to their heart. You may be a nice person in general, but if I were to tell you that the sky is blue, rather than admit that, you would comeback and say, "well not on a cloudy day."

Believe me, my feelings aren't hurt because he leaves white people out, I'm saying it's racist.

There are no changing words around here. You cant change the FACT of:

Since Obama took office the price of gasoline has more than doubled; unemployment is stuck at nine percent even though we were promised it would not exceed eight percent; the housing market is in shambles even though hundreds of billions of dollars of tax-payer money has been spent to bail out Fannie, Freddie and homeowners; more people are drawing food stamps than any time in history; and $6 trillion has been added to the national debt.

Just think if Obama hadn't bailout GM there would of been a heck of lot more people on food stamps and who most likely would of lost their homes.

Right here in Mountain Home the paper lists job openings in the city. There are several to be had. A month a go all you could find in the paper was a job for the cheese factory or a long haul driver. Those are still there plus now we have more job offerings.

The economy is picking up !!

I find it odd that you say I'm not true to my heart when you don't even know me, we have never met. So because I don't agree with what you have to say I am told I am not true to my heart ?? That's a pretty stupid observation you have there KT. What would you say if I said I had formed an opinion about you even thought I don't know who you are?

AS far as the best man for the job is concerned,I think you made and assumption. We saw others as being good candidates and they couldnt get out the gate SO yes I am going to say the first time we had a real choice just like you .You didnt have to elect him .....we cant do that by our selves.YOUR Comment subscribes to only whites can lead.I exsperienced that in the military it was a lie then as it is now.

WHEN a plan is devulged by the conservative side you will get your chance wont you???? SO FAR NO PLAN GOING FORWARD. Just remember we cant do it alone therefor even if he got the whole 28% he would still need another 22+ % to get ELECTED and that is not us. That means there are a signifcant number of white folks out there who do not agree with you.

In any event this is and unworthy argument. You wonder why people keep there guard up, not hard TO UNDERSTAND .....JUST READ.

Great article Al. This country is having to tip toe around on eggshells and I've had about enough. I'm not going to deal with all of this political correctness bullcrap that has people too scared to say anything or gets them killed. The Isalmic Religion IS a bunch of blood thirsty terrorist. How do I know? Because it wasn't a bunch of Catholics that flew planes into our buildings. It wasn't a Protestant who shot up Fort Hood.

Sure, there have been other people to do terrible things, but not because thier 'holy book' told them to do it!

I can only hope that that the idiots who flew the planes on 9/11 found out that the 72 virgins they were promised, were a bunch of dudes.

Yes, MsM, unemployment is going down. It was around 8.3% for January. That wasn't my point. My point was we were PROMISED it would never rise above 8%. No, Obama can't see the future but, he should have never written a check that his butt couldn't cash.

I'm with you again. The housing market may be starting to comeback. I also want to take a few seconds to thank Obama for something. Because of him, my wife and I were able to get a $265,000 house for $148,000. Do you think the poor couple who had to sell their house for that would be just as happy as you are that their house finally sold?

You mentioned GM but not any of the companies that I listed in the bailouts. Why? Like Obama, I can not see the future either. I don't know what would have happened if they weren't bailed out. What I do know is this: Your 'it could always be worse' attitude is one of the things that's wrong here. Along with your 'no one has to accept person responsibility' attitude.

Why didn't Ford have to take a bailout? Maybe instead of giving GM a bailout, we should have said, "you should have built a better product."

Do you think the economy is picking up because of anything Obama has done? Do you think it was because of the bailouts? How about because of Obamacare? Maybe his apologies? Please name me something. When I'm wrong, I say I'm wrong. So, if you have something good, I'll be the first to admit it.

I say that you are not true to your heart because you don't admit things that are right infront of you. You would rather dance around the subject than to say, "yeah, I see your point." It's like it's a game to you.

You can form all the opinios about me that you like. That's why they are called opinions and they don't offend me! Let me just get you rolling in the right direction: Rude, Redneck, Hillbilly, Backwoods, Slow, Uneducated, ....... I've heard them all before, so form away :)

I would say that I apologize for you feeling that way but, I'm not going to apologize for something that didn't come out of my mouth. You said that there are a lot of white folks who don't agree with me. I'm not looking for anyone to agree with me. I wouldn't care if the whole world disagreed with me. I'm just expressing my feelings and stating opinions peppered with a few facts. That's pretty much the purpose of a blog.

I appreciate your honesty on your vote. I'm not asking people for people not to vote for him because he is black. All I'm saying is that if one does, it's racism.

Please, by all means, express your feelings. I may not agree with them sometimes and I may even think you are wrong. But hopefully, we can keep a diolog between us were we have that mutial respect. Like I said, you may say I'm wrong on things, and I say the same to you but, it is nothing personal.

  • I FEEL THAT YOUR WRONG KT......I DO FEEL THAT HE SHOULD NOT HAVE USED BLACK HISTORY MONTH AS A JUMP ON POINT.I get the jest of it and on that point Ill go with you ,BUT THIS AD IS NO DIFFERENT THAN OTHER SLICK WORDED ADS BY ALL OF THEM...I MUST ALSO SAY I WAS LOOKING FOR SOMETHING THAT SAID I AM BLACK VOTE FOR ME.Now I will admit I am tainted because I have seen ads that have distinctive raciall and religious overtones and that seems to be ok so when I see this I almost consider it nothing by comparison.

I am not DISCOUNTING WHAT YOU ARE SAYING .I am saying that I was expecting something more distinctive based on peoples indignation I think it's a stretch.BUT THAT;S ME.

  • Get in touch with this that doesnt get played here.......The race card has been used to demonize This president from day one I saw not one person on the right say that was wrong not one.How can you argue race card given the cartoons, the calling his children pickenney's to saying the wifes dress was communist because it was red.SEEMS TO ME THAT he did not instigate those things .NOW WE WANT TO SAY YOU SHOULD NOT CALL ON SUPPORT YOU SHOULD BE THE BIGGER PERSON AND SIT AT HOME LET US BE THE RACIST.WE CAN PLAY THE RACE CARD YOU CANT....NO RACE CARD BEING PLAYED......the constituency is in the church,in the black community, and a lot of other places DAVID DUKE ...DIDNT ASK FOR MY VOTE NOW DID HE....WERE YOU OUTRAGED AT THAT???? I hope so. YOU can tear at his every move, every word, you can insult his wife and children you will NOT BREAK HIM...it's been worked on for four years it might be time to get on with government which all of this has been and impediment to.I am not a fan of ALL this presidents policies and some actions. I would not as some have done stepped forth to sabotage his governess .DO as you wish but do not ask people to foster the demise of the ability to govern.Because I DONT subscribe to your ULTRA RIGHT idealogy does not make me some kind of SUBHUMAN that is getting real old.WE ARE VERY QUICK TO NAME CALL AND INSULT AT EVERY TURN.MAYBE I should start using insulting adjectives but then again I see more worth in people than has been displayed by some here.MS M ...ROY....ZOOK.....JYD.....KEITH.....BONDY...AMUZEME....WAYNE......THANKYOU FOR BEING HERE

  • Because, somehow, it is the only thing that can make us all agree on something and be pleasant to each other.

I, for one am enjoying the talk.

    Brenda:
